We need Camp Coaches-  If you are interested in volunteering your time to make a difference and by the way, have a really incredible experience yourself- Please Contact Geramy at

You can now purchase a King Soopers grocery card from Higher Ground Youth Challenge and we receive 5 cents for every dollar you spend at King Soopers

The grocery card is loaded with $5, which is the amount you give to Higher Ground when you purchase the card from us.

Then, when you shop at King Soopers for groceries and gas, once you are at the check out lane, you first load your card with whatever amount of money you want and pay for that transaction.

Then you can check out your groceries and use your loaded King Soopers card to pay.

Higher Ground then receives 5% from King Soopers from your transaction.  When you spend the amount on the cards, you can add more money at the check out lane, and the clerk in the self-checkout lane can also help you re-load your gift card.

If you have a card - please use it and renew it! King Soopers will donate 5% of your spending to Higher Ground Youth Challenge.

The money goes directly to support our programs at Higher Ground.

You can purchase a card by sending a check for $5 to Higher Ground Youth Challenge, PO Box 101106, Denver, CO 80250 or contact Betsy at

Higher Ground would like to welcome Geramy Hobbs as the new Program Administrator.

"Hello, I’m Geramy.

I am fortunate enough to say that I have grown up in Denver, Colorado. Higher Ground has been an imperative influence in my life. Growing up, a strong work ethic and academics have been a valued focal point in my progress. I am most appreciative of the opportunity I have been given, to impact the youth we encounter. I’ve experienced firsthand, how Higher Ground can benefit the youth we have the privilege to support. At this point in my life I’m a husband, father, and a determined individual. Like most of our youth, I’ve faced plenty of obstacles but have had positive reinforcement within our program. I look forward to sharing and contributing what I’ve gained in my personal growth. I’ve witnessed a fair amount of success from our efforts. I’m confident that we have the resources to enhance the future of our youth."

Thank You to all who attended the very successful Reaching Potential Breakfast.

Help fund our Summer Camp Program and send an at-risk teen to boy's or girl's camp.

Join our "Monthly Giving Club".

Make a recurring monthly donation of $10 or $20 (or more) and help Higher Ground build long term financial stability.

Here's how it works. Do you have a vehicle - car, truck, motorcycle - that you would like to donate as a tax deduction rather than selling the vehicle?

All we need is a clear title and a vehicle with an engine - working or not. Once you are ready to donate your vehicle, call 1 866 628 2277 or 1 866 628 CARS and they will make it happen.

They will tow the vehicle, sell it, and Higher Ground will receive the proceeds from the sale, minus a small administrative fee. You will receive a receipt for your donation once the vehicle sells.

Please contact Betsy at with any questions or to help you donate your vehicle.
